Projects and Entities

Similarity to Google Analytics’ “Account” and “Property” structure, Liwan uses the concept of “Projects” and “Entities” to organize your data.

Projects

Projects are the top-level container for your data. You can think of them as a collection of websites or applications that you want to track. These are used to group your data in the dashboard and to manage access control.

Depending on your use case, you might have a project for each of your websites, or one grouping together a website and its mobile app.

Entities

Entities are the individual websites or applications that you want to track. These store the actual data and are what you will define your tracking code for.

Entities can be associated with multiple projects, allowing you to share data between projects if needed (e.g. creating a public project for only sharing certain websites).
